This week on IF I HAD TIME I talked about Genre Conventions and their importance to the writer. A life that can sometimes be a solitary one even with all the voices in your head. Another reason it is important to attend is for the networking, a chance to step outside of their daily life and to recharge and energize. A couple hints on how to register for conventions for free were given.
I also talked about last week's convention that I attended in Cleveland, www.clevelandconcoction.org. It’s a local one for me so I was able to attend each day and return to the comfort of my own bed each night. It’s not the same as getting away for the weekend completely, but still energizing.
Today’s podcast wrapped up with a quick review of one of the panels that I sat on over the weekend. It was titled, Common Problems New Writers Encounter.
In the near future, I’ll be at the Northeast Ohio Christian Writers Conference held in Amherst, OH. It is held the first Saturday each April. You can find out more at NEOCWC.com. And I also talked about what is coming up in the near future for me. Thanks for joining me this week. If you have some feedback you’d like to share, leave a note in the comment section below.
